What I'd like to see is a similar facility to that of Livejournal where, if I comment on your blog, I get an email to tell me if you've replied to my comment. Then I can reply to your comment from my email.
It seems strange to me that Google's mail package will let me send comments to competing blog software (sorry, community-building software), but not to my Google-based blog.
I know, I thought it was just my tech-cluelessness that was preventing me from activating what seemed to be an obvious function. I'm glad to learn it's bloggers fault & not mine.
